COVENANT WORLD RELIEF

Collection Dates: Sundays, November 22 & 29, 2020

Covenant World Relief is the humanitarian aid ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church. We participate in God’s transforming mission in the world through disaster relief and community development among the  most  vulnerable. We  work  with  Covenanters  and  other  partners around the world to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable who suffer from extreme poverty, hunger, disease, and injustice. Our mission is to love, serve, and work together with the poor, the powerless, and the marginalized.

Relief is immediate assistance in times of natural or human-made disaster by providing water, shelter, and food, and our “Transformational Development” group is working with communities and families as they help themselves through micro-enterprise, sustainable water development, community health initiatives, agriculture, and sustainable food programs.

Currently, the relief efforts are going towards the world-wide effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

How to Give

1. Pick up a soup can and lid on Sundays. There are great ways to be creative as a family. Place the bank on your kitchen table or other accessible spot. Each day have family members add some money, give thanks, and pray for needy people around the world. Click HERE to print a Covenant World Relief Gratitude & Giving Calendar

2. Give online at covchurch.org/cwr/give

Filled soup can(s) or “quiet” paper money will be collected on Sundays, November 22 & 29 – but they can be returned to the church office anytime before or after that date.
