Drop off filled shoeboxes at Faith Covenant Church between OCT 30 and NOV 16, 2016.

“Operation Christmas Child” is part of Samaritan’s Purse (you may know the name because of the “shoebox” ministry they organize and Faith Covenant has been a part of for many years). They are a nondenominational evangelical Christian humanitarian organization that works worldwide to assist people in providing spiritual and physical aid to victims of war, poverty, natural disaster, and disease. Their mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Over 8 million children have received shoeboxes in 130 countries since 1993.

The Power of a Simple Gift

  • We can support this ministry with prayer and by filling an empty shoebox with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and/or hard candy for a boy or girl, ranging in age from 2 to 14. These shoe boxes are given unconditionally and whenever appropriate, children are offered a copy of “The Greatest Gift of All” booklet in their own language by local churches and ministry partners.
  • Stop by Fellowship Hall in between the services on Sunday to pick up empty shoeboxes or use your own (or a small plastic container) beginning October 16, 2016.   This is a good project for families to do together and for children to write a note to include in their box..
