Chicago Youth Mission Trip
Dates: June 22–28, 2025
Who Can Attend: Incoming 9th to outgoing 12th graders
Location: Downtown Chicago, with boarding at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL (420 W. Downer Pl, Aurora, IL 60506)
Cost: $545 per person (plus transportation); scholarships available

We are excited to invite you to an incredible opportunity to serve and grow in your faith on a mission trip to downtown Chicago from June 22nd to June 28th! This trip is designed to inspire your heart to serve both locally and globally while building community with your peers. Don’t miss this chance to make an impact and discover how God can use YOU! Purpose:
Serve in urban ministries.
Develop a heart to serve both at home and in other communities.
Discover personal God-given missions by exploring burdens, passions, and visions.
Key Activities:
– Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and settling in.
– Day 2 (Monday): Landscaping and other tasks at Wayside Cross, a men’s discipleship ministry.
– Day 3 (Tuesday): Classroom support at By The Hand, an inner-city children’s ministry.
– Day 4 (Wednesday): Participate in the Mission Race, a downtown scavenger hunt with a focus on understanding city needs and sharing the Gospel.
– Day 5 (Thursday): Assemble food packages for international aid with Feed My Starving Children.
– Day 6 (Friday): Enjoy an outdoor kayaking adventure and clean up the church as part of the celebration.
– Day 7 (Saturday): Departure by 8 AM.
Additional Notes:
– Evenings: Daily devotions led by staff, followed by small group sessions.
– Meals: Students will cook and clean under guidance to learn valuable life skills. Allergy-friendly options are included.
– Experience Highlight: The Mission Race is a unique way for students to connect with urban challenges and share their faith. This experience promises growth, teamwork, and service while giving students a chance to step outside their comfort zones.
